ORIGINAL MIXED MEDIA FLORAL PAINTING
Beloved celebrates roses at their most romantic, painted in every shade of pink against a dreamy blue sky. Big, loose, joyful roses that make you happy.
The roses steal the show in blush, magenta, and coral pink. Big raspberry blooms mix with shell pink buds about to burst. Touches of apricot and salmon keep things warm. Green eucalyptus adds movement and freshness. I built up layers of paint and pastel to get that loose, romantic feeling. The whole painting radiates joy.

BACKSTORY & PAINTING PROCESS
I found these roses at the farmer's market early one morning. The vendor had buckets of them: climbing roses, David Austin varieties, that ballet slipper pink one that smells incredible. Still had dew on them. I arranged them in my mother’s white pedestal vase. The light coming through the window was perfect. I started sketching right there in the kitchen.
I painted this in my loose signature style. Started with big blue washes for that dreamy background. Then I went in with the pinks: rose, fuchsia, dusty rose, bubble gum, mauve. The white vase anchors it all. Graphite adds definition. Pastel highlights bring that romantic glow. The last step was to add several coats of archival varnish.
This painting makes people smile. It reminds them of wedding bouquets and grandmother's gardens. The loose style keeps it fresh, not fussy. These roses and blues work beautifully in bedrooms, dining rooms, and living spaces. Beloved keeps that rose garden magic alive all year.
