Blanche the Dancing Bunny runs a busy house and keeps a long to-do list. When evening comes, she changes. Peach tutu. Ballet shoes. Party hat set straight. The studio waits.
Her teacher once tried to teach her to glide instead of hop. “Glide, Blanche, glide.” But Blanche was never meant to glide. She lifts. She rises. She hops. In every routine, a moment comes when she is suspended, tutu catching the light, and the room goes quiet.
I painted Blanche mid-leap, bold brushstrokes capturing her power and grace. The blues and peach create movement and light across the painting.
