Original Party Animal Oil Painting

Clementine the Cow is a gymnast. She taught herself, starting with a cartwheel she spotted at the county fair and practiced until the pasture grass wore thin. Her floor routine now includes a somersault, a round-off, and a move she invented herself that no one can quite describe. The other cows watched from the fence line at first. Now they save their spots. Every afternoon in the south pasture, party hat perfectly straight, steady eyes fixed ahead, she runs it again. The judges at the county fair finally gave her a category of her own. Her scores keep climbing.

I painted Clementine the Cow with deliberate brushwork that allows personality to emerge through pigment. Her chocolate and cream markings play against the neutral ground. The composition feels both pastoral and contemporary. A bovine portrait for our times.
