Daisy radiates joy. She’s the kind of guest who lights up the room just by walking in. With a playful smile and a painterly pink coat, she’s as lovable as she is confident. Her polka dotted party hat gives her a celebratory charm that’s hard to resist.

I loved painting her cheerful expression, which seemed to smile back at me as the piece came together. The soft blue background and floral accents add to the festive feel. Impressionistic brushstrokes keep it airy and loose.

Each painting in my Party Animals series is a tribute to joy. These animals emerged during a time when I needed levity – and they brought it. Daisy, in particular, reminds me to lean into delight. To stay curious, and, to never skip a celebration.
