Dazzle and Delight, an original mixed media floral painting by Merrill Weber

It began with a bouquet that felt like pure celebration. Golden sunflowers radiated confidence. A flame-orange lily stood tall at the center, flanked by creamy white blooms that glowed in the morning light. Clusters of powder-blue hydrangea brought a gentle hush, their cool tones resting against a spill of velvety greens. The whole arrangement seemed to exhale joy.
I painted this bouquet from life, working directly from the blooms as they unfolded in the vase. Broad, expressive strokes captured their energy, while layers of pastel and graphite added depth and light. By observing every shift in color and curve of petal, I preserved the arrangement’s freshness and vitality.
Dazzle and Delight brings an instant lift to any space. Whether it is displayed in a living room, dining area, or a sunny corner of a bedroom, it offers a daily reminder to savor the beauty that surrounds you.
