Dumpling the Panda Bear got the recipe the old-fashioned way. By watching her grandmother. Saturday mornings, the counter disappears under flour. Ginger and garlic hit the oil and the smell reaches the street. By noon, the party hat is crooked and there's flour on her nose. The counter is stacked. She hasn't changed one thing in the recipe. She wouldn't dare.

I painted Dumpling the Panda Bear with loose, impressionistic brushstrokes, each one intentional. The soft contrast between her dark markings and creamy fur creates a warmth that draws you in, bringing her gentle spirit to life on canvas.
