Jacinda Ardern

Jacinda Ardern [1980 - ] is the 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand, since 2017. She has also served as the Leader of the Labour Party. As such, she is the world's youngest female head of government, having taken office at age 37. Ardern also became the world's second elected head of government to give birth while in office (after Benazir Bhutto). Ardern has received international praise for her response to the mass shootings in two mosques in Christchurch in March 2019, where 51 people were fatally shot and 49 injured, and for her response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
