Lulu the Rubber Duck knows contentment. She should. She has been loved by the same family for generations. She has been squeezed, dropped, packed in suitcases, and once left on a hotel windowsill in Paris. She started on the edge of a Victorian claw-foot tub, and now she bobs in her latest bubble bath. The party hat was a gift from the newest member of the family. Lulu has never looked better.

I painted Lulu with loose, impressionistic brushstrokes that capture her peaceful nature. The warm yellows create a gentle glow against the neutral ground.
