Merrill Weber Pictured: 1973, age 9. Today, Merrill Weber is the creator of the Inspirational Women series, consisting of more than 60 oil painting portraits of incredible, strong women. These are women who overcame hardships, broke records and blazed trails, shattering glass ceilings along the way. This series will make you feel inspired, confident and ready to make a difference in the world. The inspiration for this show dates back to when the climate in the country made the artist worry about our future. The headlines spoke of hate, fear, violence and oppression.  It was a time of reckoning for women in the United States. For Merrill Weber, the mission was clear. She wanted to educate, to empower. To raise appreciation for how far women have come, while acknowledging how far they have to go. Researching and painting each woman has given her hope.
