ORIGINAL MIXED MEDIA FLORAL PAINTING
Swoon is an original mixed media floral painting, and it makes me happy every time I look at it. Burgundy, rust, pink, and lavender flowers tumble out of a pale blue vase, painted in acrylic, graphite, and pastel.
This painting feels like someone handed you an armful of flowers. Roses pile up at the top, leaves reach for every edge of the canvas, and magenta stems spill off the side. A soft cream background keeps the whole bouquet light and cheerful.
At 24 x 30 inches in a landscape format, Swoon makes a statement on your wall. Step back and the color hits you first. Step closer and you’ll find pastel marks, graphite lines, and loose brushstrokes tucked into every bloom.
Hang this large floral painting above your sofa, sideboard, or bed and enjoy a full bouquet every day.

BACKSTORY & PAINTING PROCESS
I begin each mixed media floral painting by sketching flowers from life in vine charcoal onto a brightly toned canvas. As I work, I rotate the canvas, allowing the arrangement to evolve organically from multiple perspectives.
Layers of acrylic, graphite, and pastel create depth, texture, and unexpected moments of color and movement. The result is a flower painting that feels both expressive and timeless, celebrating the enduring appeal of flowers and the joy they bring to our homes.
