I painted Symphony of Blooms from a vase of mixed flowers on my table. The colors were loud: pinks, yellows, magentas all crowding each other. I worked in layers, loosely adding shapes and letting the paint do what it wanted.
This 6x6-inch oil on hardboard is direct. The brushwork stays loose because I was after the feeling of abundance, not individual petals. When you look at a full bouquet, it reads as color and form first. That's what I painted.
The painting arrives in a handcrafted white birch floater frame, wired and ready to hang. The archival varnish brings out the saturation. Sure to complement kitchens, entryways, anywhere you want beauty.
