Pop-Up Art Show at Pottery Barn, Glen Mills, PA

Pottery Barn turned one of its stores into my solo gallery for a weekend. On February 10 and 11, 2018, my floral paintings filled the store at the Shoppes at Brinton Lake in Glen Mills, PA, propped on consoles, perched on easels and set beside the sofas.

All weekend, art lovers came to see the floral paintings and stayed to talk art.

When Pottery Barn invited me to hold a pop-up at their Glen Mills store, I said yes on the spot. I was thrilled to see my florals in their styled rooms.

That weekend I had a new title. My sign read "Pottery Barn Pop-Up Artist."

Pottery Barn builds every room to feel like home. That made it a natural setting for original art. You saw each painting the way you'd live with it: behind a sofa, beside a stack of pillows, on a side table.

I brought floral paintings in every size, from minis to large canvases, plus greeting cards. The store was dressed for Valentine's Day, and the pinks and reds in my florals fit right in.

Longtime collectors stopped by to say hello, and I met new ones seeing my paintings for the first time. Talking with all of them, surrounded by my florals, made the weekend for me.

With yellow and turquoise, the sunflowers complemented the Valentine's pink. Smaller paintings found spots on side tables, where you’d see them up close from the sofa.
