ARTIST BIO

Merrill Weber is an artist and creative instigator, with her art studio located in charming Chester County, Pennsylvania. Her artistic journey began before she could walk, when her mother would tint whipped cream and encourage her to paint the bathroom walls while she bathed. This early nurturing of her innate creativity has blossomed into a career overflowing with enthusiastic exploration and unbridled joy.

As an award-winning artist represented by several prestigious fine art galleries, Merrill's work has been included in hundreds of exhibitions, and in museums and collections throughout the world. Her impressionistic paintings are vibrant snippets of life, reflecting what is most meaningful to her. Collectors often describe her creations as imaginative, playful, and brimming with energy and hope, echoing the childlike wonder she brings to each piece.

Her studio, nestled in a beautifully renovated 1896 knitting mill in Spring City, Pennsylvania, provides a sanctuary for her artistic process. With its high ceilings and northern light, the space is an inspiring haven where history and creativity intertwine. Merrill welcomes visitors to her studio by appointment, inviting them to experience the magic of this unique space.

Beyond her personal artistic practice, Merrill is deeply committed to fostering a thriving community among artists. She founded and administers Facebook’s Southeastern Pennsylvania Artists, a vibrant online community of more than 600 artists who support and uplift one another. It’s a space where members share ideas and show opportunities, ask and answer questions, and provide encouragement. If you are an artist in Southeastern PA, you are warmly invited to join.

Originally from Florida, Merrill now resides with her supportive husband in the Philadelphia area. She has two adult children and one grandchild, one of whom has classic autism. Her family life, including the experience of raising a child with classic autism, profoundly influences her work, imbuing her artistic expression with empathy and understanding.

Merrill finds immense joy in connecting with her followers on social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and TikTok (@MerrillWeberArt), where she shares her process and spreads the happiness her art embodies. She also shares insights and updates through her blog and art newsletter, inviting art enthusiasts to join her on her colorful journey.
