ROSIE THE COW, ROSIE THE DOG
On Mondays, I paint with Georganna Lenssen at the Wayne Art Center. I've been painting flowers for so long that I thought it would be fun to try my hand at cows. This particular cow was one I spotted during a leisurely drive through Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She is lovingly named after my daughter's energetic rescue dog, Rosie.
I started by toning the canvas with transparent oils.
